Delete Sprint web

I was prompted to download "Sprint Web" as my default browser. I do not like it and would like to return to using the plain jane google. How do I delete the sprint web?

Thank you

Hi and Welcome to the Forums!

Hmmm...it sounds like Sprint is jumping on a similar issue over at VZW with forcing BING onto everyone. Basically, we find that once selecting these things that there's no going back...the carriers are pushing something to you and you buy your service through them...unless doing so has violated their contract with you, there is pretty much nothing you can do.

But, I'm curious...first you said it changed your default browser. Then you say you want to fall back to google. Google is not a browser, so there's no "fallback" to another browser. So I'm confused as to exactly what is going on in your case. If it is truly the browser you want to change, that setting is here:

Homescreen > Options > Advanced Options > Browser

Change those to use whatever browsers you have available to you. If only the Sprint browser is available, then it indeed sounds similar to what VZW did with BING...only even "worse".

In the case of VZW, BING replaces all of the default search engines within the BB Browser...but the browser itself remains the same.

Let us know.
