Drafts or quick edit text.

Is there a way I can have text messages in a draft form or in quick edit?

In my Palm there was quick text and LG had draft that I could have a select

set of text messages ready to send such as " I'am leaving now" or " what

time will you be home?".

I see that I can save a message as a draft, but it stays visible on my inbox

page. If I sent that single draft, I would have to retype the same message to

save in draft again.

Re: Drafts or quick edit text.

What you need is a perfect use for AutoText... look at Options > AutoText.

Create a quick entry code like "zx" which could be come "Honey, I'm headed home. Please get the beer cold"  :smileyhappy:

or what ever you prefer.

You make the quick entry code whatever you prefer, just make sure it is an odd combo of letters not found in other words.

Re: Drafts or quick edit text.

Great idea. I inserted in quick text "mx" ( I'm on my way home, how about you ).

However when I type mx, what comes up is mix,ms,md,my,mr,mc,max,mt.

I am unable to get what I put in for mx. What may I be doing wrong?

Re: Drafts or quick edit text.

In reviewing the instructions for auto text, it says that there are built in auto text entries that try to correct spelling. That may be why it is trying to give you 'mix' when you entered mx. The other instructions say that your auto text will be entered when you press the space key. Try pressing the space key and see what happens.

Re: Drafts or quick edit text.

Yes, autotext entries are activated upon pressing the space key after the short text.
