I'm wondering if there is a way to turn off i guess an auto complete feature? when i sign in one of my messengre apps it saves my username in the field. is there anyway to stop it from saving my username?

While I have google talk on my PC (witihn Trillian Astra, I have so few  talk contacts that I opted not waste the memory footprint to enable Google Talk on my 9530.

I do however have a number of YahooMessenger contacts.  After reading your post I went to YahooMessenger and decided to "uncheck" the remember my ID and password" box.  I saved and closed and upon re-opening I had clear fields in both username and password.

Out of curiousity, why would you wish not to opt for the sheer convenience of it?  It is easy enough to protect access to your Blackberry outside of that application.

I, will, now go back into YahooMessenger and repopulate both username and password.  I imagine the other IM clients have the same "remember me" options under one name or another.

i know there is a box that says 'remember me' this is not what i'm talking about.

once you sign in with a username it is saved in a drop down box in the messenger app. I would like to be able to delete the names that are saved there or stop it from saving user names in a drop down box style.

I am facing the same problem. It saves my user id in the drop down on the login field even when the remember box is not checked. Does anyone have any advise on how to get rid of it? Thanks.

Hi guys, i also have the same problem on the username field that kept suggesting it, but mine's are 8520. I remember that I never tick the 'remember me' option, is there actually anyway to disable it? I'd really like protect my privacy..thx
