Hi BB Community .... after a conversation with a BB avid user I decided to switch from WM platform. I bought a Tour yesterday and i am going thru the newbie blues and have a few questions.
1. When adding my gmail account I am not able to see all my email folders and how do i retrieve all the emails in my inbox.
2. Am I able to search the files on my BB like a file explorer?
3. How do you add custom ring tones ... I have a Hail to the Redskins ringtone on my old WM phone that I want to use.
Thanks

Greetings, and welcome to the BlackBerry.com Support Forums.
1. You won't be able to see all your folders for Gmail. However changes are happening for Gmail on the BlackBerry and new features do allow you see labels and filters.
On your device, go to the personal email setup icon, delete the Gmail account and re-add it. You will be given notification of a google mail plug-in to download. That will enable new features on your BlackBerry's gmail.
2. You can go to the Media icon > press Menu > explore.
or you can get BBFileScout for free, a good file manager.
Look in App World.
3. Add the ringtone to your device, and set it as a custome ringtone for certain callers, or all.

You don't want to delete the personal email setup icon.
open it, go to your email setup and DELETE the gmail account and readd it.

Hello:
The way VZW set up the email on my BB resulted in two email icons. One looks like an envelope and the other is Yahoo Mail. The net result is I get the same emails for both. Is it best to delete or disabled one of them?
TIA
Barry

All three fixes did the job. Thanks a bunch. I guess I need to either resend all the mail that is in my gmail inbox to actually get it on my BB.
