Re: Phone Won't Turn on After battery died

When i run the link given exactly after i have installed the Blackberry Desktop Manager ? i actually clicked on "start" searched for "run" then copied the link given exactly as it is, but it says ""c:\program files\common files\research in motion\apploader\ refers to a location that is unavailable. It could be on a hard drive on this computer or on a network. Check to make sure that the disk is properly connected, or you are connected to the internet  on your network, then try again. If stil not the information might have been moved to a different location."

Now what?

My battery won't stay in place. The red light shows for a couple of seconds but then vanishes, so then I have to try to put it back in place, but it keeps going off. any help?

You mean literally it moves around?

Can you place a business card or other folded normal piece of paper on top of the battery, replace the battery door and see if it stays in place?

Re: Phone Won't Turn on After battery died

In step 4 when I 'should' see "USB-PIN: UNKNOWN" in the connection drop down box, All I see is a blank box with a blank drop down. I cannot click on next. What does this mean?

Re: Phone Won't Turn on After battery died

It means your device is not detected.

You could either see the Unknown, or the actual PIN.

I'd recommend rebooting the PC, reconnecting, and perhaps removing and replacing the battery at this point in the Steps, to see if the Unknown or PIN appears.

Re: Phone Won't Turn on After battery died

Yes, but why would it not be detected?
The cable works, the USB port works.
Just a dead non responsive phone. Died for no reason whatsoever
