I'm having an issue with my Tour 9630. Upgraded to 5.0 and no Memo or Task apps. Tried everything. Seems odd that BlackBerry wouldn't auto load these apps and allow the user to delete themselves. I'm getting tired of the deleting, reloading, searching, etc... to get this resolved. Any easier way?

Try this:
Open the Desktop manager and connect the blackberry.
Applications section of desktop manager will have a list of apps
See if you can add the task and memo apps from there.

When I bring up Desktop Manager and open Applications it only shows Third Party apps. Similar to when I open Applications on my BlackBerry. No MemoPad or Tasks apps on either. I can't add any apps. Just delete. I did notice that under the Desktop Manager Organizer it shows that Calendar and Address Book are "(syncing wirelessly)". But that MemoPad and Tasks are "(not installed)".
My gut is saying that something is wrong with 5.0. In that is doesn't automatically load MemoPad, Tasks, etc... Wondering if I should downgrade to a lower version?
By the way, on the Desktop Manager when I go into Device, Update is comes up with a window that there are no updates to be installed. So, with Desktop Manager I can't even downgrade my BB. Very frustrating!!

You can downgrade by going here:

After you choose your device, scroll to the bottom for the link.

My issue has been resolved! Yeah!
I somehow was able to upgrade to a platform release that is not supported by my BB Tour 9630. When I went to Verizon, downloaded the current version for my phone which is v5.0 (Bundle 1600, Platform 4.2.0.424), and installed it everything worked great. The Tasks, MemoPad, even all the Games apps are now available. When I opened up Desktop Manager, Applications everything was there. I was able to install Tasks and Memopad. Works great!
Still trying to figure out how I got the wrong version loaded on my phone. My suggestion is to be careful with which version you install. Make sure either with your carrier or BlackBerry that you have the right version.
Thanks to everyone for all the help!

Thank you for info; only took me 1 hour to find this. Never found a telephone support number Blackberry. Mainly just want to state how PISSED I am at RIM/Blackberry for causing this loss of Memo Pad (and much saved info therein!), and Brickbreaker, and ... with the 5.0 upgrade, and it's lack of accessibility and help in resolving issue. RIM will have kissed my butt before I buy another product from them. Hoping new CEO is alerted.
