Like the title says,

My Tour did an amazing feat last night while on being charged. It turned off and then this morning I was unable to turn it back on. Any ideas/suggestions?

If you remove the battery and re-insert it, does the device have a red LED? If yes, does the light disappear after a while or does it remain?

Do you have the BlackBerry Desktop Manager installed? If you connect your device to the computer, is it recognized?

Mine did the same thing yesterday. When I plug it into a charger it flashes the LED when i try to connect it to my computer where my desktop manager software is installed it does the same. When i connect it to other cpu's it has the solid red LED like it is charging but never does. wont power on anymore at all

Hi,

What was the eventual resolution to this issue.  Mine is doing the same:

1. Quit while it was charging

2. When I attempt to turn it on, nothing.

3. Remove battery and replace it (while plugged into the computer).  The LED light appears red for 5 ro 10 seconds then goes off.

4. The computer (which has Desktop) recognizes that a blackberry has connected to the USB port, but the desktop manager does not recognize it.

After you reinsert the battery, does the LED blink off and on or does it go off never to light up until you do another battery pull?

If you were to connect to the wall charger, do you see a battery icon on the screen or does it remain black?

The exact same thing is happening to me too!! help me with this very quickly please...
I plug it into my laptop, and it regognises it, the LED flash turns on, stays on for about 10 seconds, then my laptop no longer regognises it.. It then goes on to the start up thing where it says blackberry and it is loading at the bottom, after this it loads up, but doesnt go to the home screan, all it does it turn its self back off and reset all of this off again..

I have exactly the same issue: the phone suddenly switched off while I was reading an email.

Now the red light goes on for a few seconds then off then nothing. I have tried to access the phone via my desktop but it is not recognized as connected by my desktop.

I have removed the sim and SD cards.

Absolutlely dead.

RIP my phone; after 10 + years of blackberry I'm switching to iPhone.

Hi,

Even i have similar problem. While using the wall charger, if i get any message or email or call. The phone immediately switches off and does not turn back on unless than battery is being removed and replaced. Why is this soo??

Hi folks ... I'm having the same problem, with significant impact !   I even bought a new battery and get the same thing. If someone gets an asnwer to what this problem is please let us know asap.  Thanks in advance !
