automatic deletion of gmail on tour 9630

My gmails are all automatically deleted at random times throughout the day.  This only occurs on the blackberry, not on my computer. Brought device to sprint tech support and they did a hard reset, but problem still occurs. Any suggestions??

Re: automatic deletion of gmail on tour 9630

Are you deleting any of the same email on your Gmail web portal?

Gmail now has a two-way sync of deletes and read emails. If you delete or read email on your PC, it will mark as read or delete them on your BlackBerry.

If you have your 'read' email set to be hidden, then your read emails could be hidden, not deleted.

No I am not deleting the emails on the gmail web portal. The emails are being deleted on the blackberry whether they have been read or not read.

Re: automatic deletion of gmail on tour 9630

I am not reading the emails first on the gmail web portal. The emails are automatically deleted on the blackberry (but not on the pc or mac) whether I have read them or not read them.

I do not have an outlook account on my pc.

I also have an aol account and these emails are not being deleted automatically on the blackberry.

This automatic deletion began about a month ago after I downloaded the  updated blackberry software. Sprint has been unable to solve the problem. They did a hard reset which did not help.

Interesting fact, I was traveling in France last week and the gmails were not deleted. As soon as I returned home, the automatic deletion began again.

How soon does it delete?

You seen it arrive and it disappears quickly? Or one hour later? Or three days later?

You are not reading this mail first ON the BlackBerry?

No, I am not reading the mail first on the blackberry. Whether the mail has been read or unread does not seem to matter. It all gets deleted. I suppose it's every few hours, but I am not quit certain.

I'm just trying to help narrow down the circunstances here, being a bit more certain will help.

So, ALL of your gmail is getting deleted?

In your Messages > Options > General Options > Days to keep messages, what is your setting?

When you view your gmail on the web portal, ALL your messages are there, none are being deleted?

And any other details would help.

Hello -- you really need to read and answer the questions that JSanders asks you. Your reply here in no way, shape, or form does that. Please participate in the process and I am sure that he can help you resolve this. But, if you don't participate, you make him guess...and that does no one any good at all.

Good luck!
