caller id problems

i just got a tour and when people call me it doesnt show there name even though i have them in my contacts and i have caller id with fido and the people do as well and i tried the smart dialing thing i tried content protection i tried an update i tried everything u can think of but still not working so can any1 please tell me if they had the same problem and they got it working...thank u

Try the following -

  1. Go to Call Log
  2. click Menu
  3. Options
  4. General Options
  5. Restrict My Identity: Network Determind

its set on network determined....but its when people call me that i dont see it but i should add one thing does it matter if i unlocked the phone

  1. Go to Options
  2. Security Options
  3. General Settings
  4. Content Protection: Disable

I found that if you store your contacts name and number as (AreaCode) Pre-Sufix or area-pre-suffix it will now identify the Caller it should be stored as all numbers: IE

 

BAD:

(123) 456-7890

123-456-7890

 

Good:

 

1234567890
