having reloaded software into my 9630, when I press "Add Contact", nothing happens. Has anyone any experience with this?

Hi and welcome to the forums!
Have you tried a battery pull to reset the device?
In contacts press menu key>options> what is listed under contact lists?

No data will be lost when doing the following: pull the battery while the device is ON.
Replace after a minute, Let the device reboot 1-3 min, see if the problem is fixed.

Hi, i am having the same problem.
I can't add or edit contacts, nothing happenes when i try to do anything on my phonebook.
when i go to Options on the phonebook, under contact list theres my email address

i am having the same issue and nothing has helped. i had downloaded the new yahoo and fb versions and thought that was it...deleted restart and so on.
and telus guy was no good his like send it in ...but rim wont cover am past 1 yr warranty
what do i do
when i look under contact says default

Hi Nyakstar and welcome to the forums!
First try a hard reset as listed in my first post.
When you open the your phonebook click >options>Under Contact Lists>should be your email address>click on the email address>is the number of contacts correct?
Under contact lists is there a unknown or default list?
Are you using Gmail for your email?

Click on the unknown contact list does it reflect the correct number of contacts?
Do you have an email address setup on your device?
Look at the default services settings on your device what are the values for CICAL CMIME and SYNC?
Use the links below to select the right menu options for your specific device OS.

hi thanks....i deleted all my cookies and free up some space ,deleted music and pictures and tada now it works. I deleted yahoo messenger and facebook .
