i merely want to get the written directions but once i type in my to and from locations, and fastest route and it goes to give me the directions,  i can't scroll thru the directions.  it posts on the screen the to and from addresses on the screen together and i can see the top of what would be the first line of the turn by turn directions.  when i scroll i can see some action but it is below the edge of the screen.   i can never see anything but the top edge of the first line of the directions.  hard to explain.  but bottom line is i can't see the directions.

i think this is a bug.   any thoughts?

unitl i can figure out a way out of this prob,  can someone recommend a better app where i can just get directions?  i don't need live maps, just directions.

no,  i haven't had time to figure it out or find an alternative.  am quite frustrated with this.

I just spent a couple of hours on the phone with Blackberry and they were able to duplicate the problem on one of their Tours and are looking into it.  They said they'd get back to me on it.  When they do, I'll post the info here.  It may require a software fix.

Got an e-mail back from Blackberry.  Bottom line: they now know they have a problem with the maps program and they don't have a fix for it and no commitment to make it happen anytime soon (or ever).  In the meantime I downloaded a maps program from Google that works although it won't directly access my contacts for addresses.  I have to copy and paste to use the contacts info.
