Given the way you worded that, I can only surmise that you did not do things in the proper order. From what you say, it appears that you deleted VENDOR.XML before Step 1 in my Post 2 above...that's not where I instructed you to do that.

I don't know what you think you mean by getting your device "formatted", but what we are attempting to do is to reload your OS cleanly, which one could interpret as the same thing as "formatted".

If you can follow the instructions to, in the proper sequence, get both the Desktop Software installed, the OS package installed, and then remove the VENDOR.XML file(s), then you could also attempt the use of BBSAK (from BBSAK.ORG)...that might make it possible for you to perhaps carry out these instructions. It has a Wipe Device command that will totally wipe out the OS from your BB, and then allow also the loading of the OS (the OS that you have properly installed to your PC, including the proper removal of VENDOR.XML files).

Good luck, and please try to be more exact and explicit...otherwise, this is going to take much longer than you would like it to take.
