The support answer could also mean RIM is adding CC/carrier billing before May 17th
Might be a little too optimistic though lol

Ha. You are correct. Thank you for your optimism. ![]()

sincerely I'm really bothered from this behaviour.
developers should be informed when the carriers/credit card billing will be available to customers
as we know the date that App Store will reduce our revenue share.
I call this fairplay, and this isn't really fair.

so, we are getting 70% NOW and I saw no new billing method.

It gets even worse - now they want a share of any revenues (e.g. subscriptions) you generate through the application.
Totally unacceptable.

wow, where you read it?

You can find RIM's statement about revenue share for indirect revenues through AppWorld here: http://supportforums.blackberry.com/t5/BlackBerry-
I have a feeling that this will be changed soon because it doesn't make sense to enforce it on smaller companies (cost vs. expected revenues) and the big companies (Amazon, eBay) will definitely not pay anything to RIM for distributing apps.
And if RIM has an agreement with Amzon, eBay or others to not collect revenue shares for indirect revenues this would be a highly anti-competitive move which will not be sustainable in the long run.

Do you know if there are any consequences for not agreeing to the new terms yet? I would like to see if they remove this charge because if they do not, it will render some of our upcoming applications worthless because this is entirely unreasonable.
Have you guys accepted?

I have accepted, also with 70/30 revenue share AppStore remains the number one for me.

but hey, what about the carrier billing and credit card billing?
we are "paying" this service with a lowered revenue share since many days now,
I'm really disappointed that this service isn't available to customers yet.
