App approvals getting faster

Despite all of the problems we have had with the approval times of app updates over the past 6 weeks, things appear to be getting much better. I have recently had two app updates (for BB10 only apps) approved in around 36 hours after being submitted. Is everyone else seeing things get back to normal, or have I just gotten lucky...

Pretty sure things are getting back to normal. Fingers crossed anyways!

Re: App approvals getting faster

My backlog of unapproved releases is actually cleared. Although one of the oldest ones was cleared after some communication in a PM, the last one was approved through the regular process shortly after that.

I'd say based on what I've seen things are definitely getting back to normal.

I'm sure there will be exceptions, but at this point I'd definitely advise people with older-than-a-week, still-unapproved submissions to request explicit attention.

I've sent an app for the first time on 14 March and so far I have not received any response.

Re: App approvals getting faster

That's two of us stuck on the 14th of March then...

Oddly the one I submitted about a week later was approved pretty quickly. Must depend what tester you get assigned to. Maybe some test faster than others?

Re: App approvals getting faster

It's time for BlackBerry to put the app approval and vendor support in order. I think most developers have been patient enough. Also waiting times for answer to emails sent to vendor support has to be at least next business day. Waiting a week or more for a response email is ridiculous (it's year 2013... helloooo...).

Actually, brand new apps have typically taken about two weeks to get approved, so another five days for you would still be completly normal...
