Denied reviews that I never actually denied?!

I have some reviews that are marked 'denied' even though I never denied them. Additionally there's an 'Approve Review' button next to these but it's greyed out.

What in the world is this? There's nothing wrong with these reviews and I'd like them to be approved. See screenshot below.

Re: Denied reviews that I never actually denied?!

Just click on the Approve Review button.

There is some mystic algorithm to automatically deny reviews with bad language, containing PIN numbers etc, but sometimes valid reviews get denied as well. I usually check my reviews on daily basis and I see such cases at least once a month.

QuiteSimple, you missed where he points out the Approve button is actually greyed out.

TheMarco, I've never seen this before, but I'd suggest you just use the vendor portal support form to point out the issue and request that things be repaired.

You are not allowed to use the word funny in a review..

I got one of these today, where its denied by default and the approve button is greyed out. They must have changed something.

Did it use the word "funny"? ;-)

Re: Denied reviews that I never actually denied?!

With SOME of the reviews where this happens it makes sense. It appears to happen when someone uses an F-word or something else 'offensive'. I can see how there's some kind of filter at work. However, some of the denied reviews have nothing even remotely offensive in it so maybe the filter is a bit overzealous?

There is also the possibility that something is an offensive word in a different language...

Re: Denied reviews that I never actually denied?!

I have a review now that matches the status of the original screenshot TheMarco posted in the OP.

In my case, it was a new review which was auto-denied. I went in and clicked Approve Review, which was enabled at the time. Now it's showing as still Denied, but the Approve button is grayed out.

TheMarco, any chance this was one for which you had already clicked Approve, but you just forgot about that or mixed it up with another?
