Educational Apps

I am looking at wirting an educational app that will be purchased by the educational establishment in bulk and then distributed to the students.  I have found ways of doing this on iOS and Android but can't seem to find anything on BB.  Does anyone have any ideas or suggestions on how I can achieve this?

Any help much appreciated:Helpsmilie:

Re: Educational Apps

At the moment you can only distribute though BlackBerry World unless you are prepared to set up your own BES server.

If you've been helped click on Like Button, if you've been saved buy the app. :smileyhappy:

Re: Educational Apps

If you develop for BBOS (legacy BlackBerry devices) there is an option for OTA installation.

However if you develop for BB10 you are limited to two major options: BBWorld or the so called "sideloading". But sideloading is a complex process (every user has to install the app manually on her phone), especially for non tech savvy users.

Re Distributing via BBWorld: you can release the app as free but to make it activate via some activation code. So every student can download the app and activate it with a code provided by the teachers. There is an option to limit the app downloads to certain country and/or carrier, still the app will be downloaded from a lot of users who won't have a clue what it is about (thus leaving negative reviews).
