I upgraded the app world version on 9860 to 3.1.4.25 but getting error (now another one) ""Could not connect to appworld to verify application origin".

How did you install the application?

What version of App World is running on this device?

On 9860 it is 3.1.4.25 on 8520 it is 3.1.2.32. I installed using without BIS SIM and Wifi on 8520 and using Wifi+BIS in 9860.

But how was the app instaled? Did you use JavaLoader to load the COD file? Load from the JDE/Eclipse? etc

This still sounds like a BIS connectivity issue. Can you verify that you have BIS access available? Can you send and receive emails using a BIS account?

Can you send and receive BBM messages?

All the above should be tested with WiFi disabled.

No, I checked connectivity, I can download entire application from app world using BIS only.

Please test these and confirm they work so we can rule out BIS as an issue.

Also have another problem. Issue is they purchase a digital good in my app - and now when it tries to retrieve their good they get the same Process ID error. If payment API 1.8 doesn't work without BIS then maybe it should be throwing a Purchase error rather than allowing it to go through.

I will issue the customer a refund myself.

This is a bug, not the way it is supposed to function. This has been reported and is in the integration state.
