re: Getting featured on appworld. Contact them in the vendor support area and make sure you have all of your required featured images ready to go. And make sure they look good, I would suggest hiring a pro to make your ad images.

My free app gets 100 downloads a day on App World and 5 downloads a day on Android Market - I thought the opposite would happen

Unfortunately it's free and ad-free so it's not lucrative for me

Since the 16th of March, my one app on App World has 18 downloads. In the same time on Android it's had 60 downloads.

what do you mean poor? There are over 100 millions Android smartphones.

Yes, 100x more downloads should be on Android devices than on PBs.

My main app had around 200 downloads on PlayBook from the time it was released through today. Same app on Android in the same time had about 50 downloads. Same app on webOS had about 200. Revenue on webOS was approximately 20% higher, due in part to the "purchasing power" price adjustments that are made in the App World. I have now withdrawn my app for sale in all countries where RIM sells it for lower than the price that I set, as it is not advantageous to me to sell a discounted app, and then provide end user support.

As is, the amount of support that I've provided to PlayBook users has been absolutely astronomical compared to the other platforms -- and the reviews that I get in exchange, are not in the slightest bit on par with the reviews that i get in the other catalogs. I am wondering if the number of nice people on App World are outweighed 10:1 by people who are not so nice.
