Paid app and trial period

Hi,

is it possible to give away a paid app for free and after a trial period you need to buy it? (or otherwise it's not working anymore)

I spotted some different options in the vendor portal but I'm not sure which one is for me and if the BlackBerry World handles that or if I need to code such a system into my app.

Have a nice weekend guys,

Vibes

Re: Paid app and trial period

The way to do that now is with in-app payments (the Payment Service). The app is free but has virtual goods available. When the trial period has expired, you can require the user to purchase the digital good before they can continue.

You can get fancier too, by simply limiting functionality after that time, or by offer a reduced-functionality trial which is then expanded to the full thing after payment. Lots of variations...
