just got this email
You are receiving this email because you have ringtones for sale on BlackBerry App World. RIM is now distributing ringtones ourselves, and this has resulted in a change to our policy regarding these sales. Similar to not allowing App stores/Theme stores on App World, it now extends to Ring tones.
At this point we will be taking down your ringtones, however you can re-submit through our official source for ringtones via
Thank you,

From RIM appworld. They give me an email address to re-submit app. Like W.T.F?
There is no other info what so ever in the email.
Seems like RIM don't want anybody else sell ringtones. This is sad.

Have you checked where the email came from - i.e the routing addresses and not just the visible return to address - this sounds as if it could be a fake.

Is that the Airhorn app? I wonder if all Alarm apps are disabled too, since most of them have custom ring tones.

NO. Apparently if you choose the new Ringtone category then your apps will be denied. why does RIM let you choose the Ringtone category if they gonna denied us.
Also if you put in the MP3 category as ringtone it will be denied too.
Devs getting screwed left and right.
RIM should have sent out an email way before and not when the app is denied and then get the email. One of my app is not a ringtone app but it lets you set ringtone for a profile was denied because I selected Ringtone as the category.
