Hello there,
I have a question regarding search function in AppWorld Playbook application. So a company where I'm working published an application. It calls Games for kids: shape puzzle. If I use 'puzzle' as search word the app is not shown in search results, but if I use 'shape puzzle' it is. Could somebody clarify this moment please?
Thank you!

Hi klz,
Search will return 100 results (max). By adding the word "shape" to your search, you're refining it and bring back results that more closely match the applications name.
Using just "puzzle" is extremely broad of a search term unfortunately, especially when searching all applications on the store.

Greetings Ryan,
Thank you so much for your response. Is there any open documentation regarding search feature in AppWorld app where I cand find what criteria are used to display results so I will be able to improve my apps' names and descriptions?

Hi klz,
Unfortunately not in regards to the search algorythm specfics.
What I can tell you is search currently looks at 3 different values, in this order:
-Application Name
-Vendor Name
-Application Description
In an upcoming version of the App World client, we will be swapping out 'Application Description' for the Keywords section available now within the Vendor Portal.
Hope this helps.
