Yes, I have notiiced the same trend. I attributed to the fact that my app is no longer listed in the mobile app world when searching for "moon", but does show up when searching for "lunar" - which makes no sense to me. It does not show up when searching for "astrono", but does show up when searching for "astronomy", which again, makes no sense at all.
I opened a ticket about this problem over a month ago, but never received any replies from RIM. btw, the app name is "MoonAlmanac"
The searches used to work correctly in the web version of AppWorld, but just noticed tihs morning that the web AppWord (http://appworld.blackberry.com) has been re-structured and I can no longer search for apps. Has anyone else noticed this?

my apps are on the first pages of the category so I don't think that the problem is that users don't find it,
I think that users who bought Blackberry is drammatically less than before.
I'm experiencing the same problem with BB apps also on other market.

Did you get new competition? It's a much bigger marketplace these days.
No, so I don't understood why of this slowdown since I always sold the same in two years.
Maybe you already got all the customers

I noticed the sales of old apps going down, but that's expected, newer apps are just fine. You cannot sell the same apps forever, every product (no matter if it is a car, furniture or mobile app) has a life-cycle and that life-cycle comes to an end sooner or later. IMO the life-cycle of mobile app (even if you constantly push upgrades) is 6-10 months, after that it just dies.

One issue with apps that you have not updated in a while is that the list of supported devices will grow stale. Newer devices don't seem to be supported by default: you have to edit the release and add them manually. Over time, the older supported devices will cease to be used as people upgrade to newer models. If you don't edit your releases to include the new models, you should expect sales to drop over time as fewer users will see your app.
Almost all my paid app sales come from users of OS 5 and 6 these days. The market shifts quickly.
