So much for the approval process!!!

With most of us waiting weeks, if not months for approval and then having mass app denial I has to chuckle today when looking through the 'New Arrivals' section on my Playbook.

Ther is an app titled 'test (v1), obviously an App generator made app. The app description reads..."Please don't publish. I'm just testing".

If this gets approved how come masses of higher quality apps were denied???

Lol! "Please don't publish. "

Though this is funny, keep in mind anything created by the app generator is going to go through a different approval process because they already know exactly how the app is going to function.

All that needs to be done is to check that the rss feed actually exists. They did have a requirement that you had to own the content but checking that would take way too much resources. The only apps that probably get rejected in the category are ones using RSS feeds that are obviously not their own (e.g. CNN, NY Times, ect.)

What was your app and on what basis did it get rejected?

Re: So much for the approval process!!!

While on the topic... care to check those apps?

http://appworld.blackberry.com/webstore/search/water%20your%20body/?countrycode=EN

The first three are stolen Android ports, original app is this:

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.northpark.drinkwater&feature=search_result#?t=W251...

This one too:

http://appworld.blackberry.com/webstore/content/20396375/?countrycode=EN

Original app:

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=info.androidz.horoscope&feature=search_result#?t=W251b....

One could easily notice that one and the same vendor is publishing stolen Android ports...

[ Edited ]

One major upgrade I posted as a new app was taking so long to get approved that I finally just upgraded the original and changed both descriptions of the new one to "( withdrawn )", set it incompatible with all devices, and changed the title to "_______ (withdrawn)".

It still got approved and automatically posted for sale, after about 5 weeks I think.  Then I had to hurriedly remove it from sale and amend the title, description, and compatibility.  But it was there in New Apps for a while, "(withdrawn)".
