US Taxes

When I pull (before they were broken) purchase reports from the Vendor page I can see that some people are charged tax on my app. Being in the US I assume that they customers live in my state. This also happens in the Android Market. However, when I look at the Bango and Digital River invoices I do not see any taxe being charged/collected. Does RIM take care of taxes for us?

Thanks

Nicholas

Re: US Taxes

For things like sales tax or value-added taxes, yes.

Re: US Taxes

Great! I was referring to the sales tax that seems to be automatically added to certain customers. Its nice for RIM to handle it. Wish Google did the same.

Re: US Taxes

sales tax should be a responsibility of the merchant not the author, so I think it's to be expected. I don't even have a retail license just a business license...
