What Phones Are Compatible With Others?

[ Edited ]

When I submit themes there are several other phones in the same area of the phone that I'm submitting.

For example: when I submit a theme for Bold 97xx  there are four other phone models(9000, 9050, 9900, 9930) that are an option that I can choose from as well.  If I marked the other phone models, would my theme be compatible with those models?  I ask because they're grouped with the model that I'm selecting as well.

Basicly I'm asking if all the phone models that are grouped together are compatible with each other?

Re: What Phones Are Compatible With Others?

Phones are grouped in series (i.e. Bold series, Curve series etc.). They don't really match, for example screen resolution:

  • Half VGA 480x320 pixel color display (BlackBerry Bold 9000)
  • High-resolution 480x360 pixel color display (BlackBerry Bold 9650, 9700, 9780)

OS version support also would be different.

So it seems the grouping is more related to branding than to the actual phone specifications.

Re: What Phones Are Compatible With Others?

As Quite simple Said you just have to know wich resolution has each Model and you will know wich themes work for other devices:

9700 matchs with 9650,9630&8900 with same OS of course.

9100 matches with 9670... etc
