What does the "Downloads" chart supposed to show

Hello, I released a free version of my paid app about 24 hours.  Today, when I try to get a "Downloads" chart, it's saying "No data exists for your app".

What is "Downloads" supposed to be referring to?  Is it not the # of downloads for an app?  When I look at the "Purchase" chart for my paid app, I get data.

Am I misunderstanding something?

Thanks,

Tom

Re: What does the "Downloads" chart supposed to show

Purchases are first time downloads.  The data for purchases are updated throughout the day.  Download data is updated overnight.  You should see the data for downloads tomorrow.

If you see a download without a purchase, it means that someone re-downloaded your app for a variety of reasons (e.g., deleted before, device transfer, wipe, etc.).

If you want more information from the data, you should run a download report which you can access on the same page but towards the top.
