marketplace icon resolution

before releasing the app i want to know the marketplace - icon reolutions

the icons which will be shown on website and in the app store

 

i want to know what are all the icons and the resolutions necessary before releasing the app onto stores

When uploading to AppWorld you are asked for a 480x480px icon

Along with the app icon of 480*480 PNG, you also need to upload a featured image of resolution 1920*1186 PNG in the featured slot along with some screenshots of your app.

I realize that the "featured image" is hard for individual developers to create.. Even if we create it, it will definitely struggle to compete in visual against the giants.

 

But to answer your question, featured image is an image that includes a gist of impression your app want to deliver... if that makes sense lol. It's basically a promotional image with specified size.
