Hi Ryan
I didn't realise that there was a problem registering until yesterday. I've registered but have not been approved. My app is ready to go, I just need to be able to submit it. Could you look into approving my account before the deadline? I sent a PM.
Many thanks.

Ryan,
I sent you a PM as well. Can you check on my dev application?
Good thing I checked the forums or I wouldn't have known there was a problem.

I'm waiting for rhearty to respond too.. even though it's a Sunday and RIM employees are hard-pressed to work this out, I really hope they can just speed up the approval process. Such a pity that my app is published and signed but I can't submit the app.
I guess the next time RIM does this offer again new developers have to submit their registration months beforehand.

Guys, don't worry about sudmit time. I received this email from BB Development team after 3 days of waiting for a submit response:
Your app submission has been successfully received by the team at BlackBerry App World, putting you on the road to qualify for the free BlackBerry PlayBook Tablet Offer 2012. The BlackBerry App World team reviews each app based on the Vendor Guidelines and we’ll notify you as soon as we have determined if your app qualifies for the free tablet offer.
When your app is approved, you will receive an additional email notice requesting a shipping address for the BlackBerry PlayBook tablet.
If you receive notice that your app has not been accepted, don’t give up. You can modify and resubmit that app for approval as long as the app was originally submitted during the qualifying period. We will do our best to promptly review each application submission. However, we cannot guarantee a decision within a specific timeframe.
We appreciate the time and effort you have put into developing an app for the BlackBerry PlayBook tablet. We’re pleased and excited to have your applications on our platform and look forward to shared success and a long relationship.
Happy coding!
The BlackBerry Developer Program team
P.S. You are welcome to submit multiple entries for consideration, but only one BlackBerry PlayBook tablet will be awarded per registered vendor in BlackBerry App World.
As I understand once you have submited the app before 13th February, you are inside the promotion.

Yeah, I asked @asaunders on Twitter if there would be any penalty because of this mixup and he replied:
"@MontyMandrake nope. Just spoke with some of the folks on the team. We'll make sure things are OK."
So, it seems that things should be taken care of if your account wasn't set up when it should have been.

For me the vendor account is enabled but I don't receive the code signing keys....
I also sent a PM to rhearty, there's maybe still a chance...

rozyrezelle that's a comforting thought. I'm sure Alec Saunders will make good his promise.. I met him at DevCon Asia last year and he gives nothing but good vibes.
Anyway I received my code signing keys almost immediately when I registered it, so I'm sitting here with my app published and signed just waiting to submit when my account is up.
