App Not Listed That Should Be

Dear BlackBerry App World

 

I have been having a problem with a third party app which should be in your list.

 

I have the free version and remember downloading the Pro version very early on iafter having the free type, but am beginning to understand that this may not have been installed or that it was never in your list in the first place.

 

This is the case number that I have written to S4BB App:

(Case 311975) Issue report: Thu Nov 01 12:58:53 Europe/Dublin 2012‏

 

Yesterday the Pro version was sent to me, I downloaded it but it still seems that the download cannot be completed.

To claim that it had been downloaded a subscription came with it's so called compltion. but it is still not installed on my phone.

As for App World: you need to go to open it, go to "My World" and hit "Log-in" in the menu. There you need to enter your log-in info and you will then be able to download and install all products you purchased on BlackBerry App World previously.

A couple of things, if I may...

 

This site is a user-to-user community of kind volunteers trying to help each other out. It is not a user-to/from-RIM channel for any formal communications whatsoever. Hence, your request, as worded, cannot be officially acted on here by RIM since that is outside the terms of this site.

 

Second, this response from S4BB concerns me:

That's pure bogus. All developers have a dedicated Vendor Portal that provides them many channels for formal communications with RIM, including this specific issue. Further, developers should be quite interested in ensuring that their products are properly listed in AW so as to ensure that they can actually make sales. Sadly, I've seen others with the same shoddy replies from S4BB support...so while what they told you here is disappointing (and untrue), it is not surprising.

 

My only recommendation is that you go back to S4BB and insist that they utilize their dedicated Vendor Portal to clear up the problem that they have with AW. After all, this is not an end user problem...it is a problem between RIM/AW and the developer.
