Re: App World email reset

Hi and Welcome to the Community!

Unfortunately, all of the password reset emails must be sent to the registered email address...for security reasons. If you have a good relationship with the email admin ad your now-former company, perhaps you can convince them to re-activate your email account for long enough to receive and forward to you the password reset email?

Otherwise, I don't think there is anything you can do...other than seek human-based support, which might be available via escalation from your mobile service provider. You'd have to convince them that you need escalation up to BlackBerry, and then likewise convince a BlackBerry rep to actually make an adjustment for you.

On the other hand, if you have no records you need to retain (e.g., AppWorld purchase records), then it would probably be simpler to just abandon the old BB ID and create a new one, but this time assigning it to an email address that can truly be permanently your own.

Good luck and let us know!
