My BlackBerry App World has been acting strangely these past few days. For absolutely no reason, it changes the "Games, Apps, Themes" icons to Indonesian, while "My World" and "My Account" are still in English.

Today, I deleted and re-installed BlackBerry Identity due to "BlackBerry Identity Update required" issue, and it's back, but now every icon in Apps category are in Indonesian, while everything else is in English! This is driving me nuts. Will re-installing BlackBerry App World help me? I want everything to be in English

When you installed App World, did you select Indonesian as the installation language or English?

Is your device Language set to English or Indonesian? 

If you were to access any other applications, do they experiencing the same issue with the language menu?

I don't have Indonesian installed in my device, not as display language nor input language (coincidentally, there is no Indonesian input language) so I'm baffled.

Other applications do not experience this issue.

I re-checked, and somehow it's back to normal (everything is in English). Since I don't have Indonesian language pack installed, looks like it's an issue from the App World itself. So I guess issue resolved? Though I don't know how or why. Sorry for wasting your time

Scratch that, I can't edit from my BlackBerry. Apps is all fine and dandy, but now the Games area is all-Indonesian. Sigh.

Delete App World from your device (Under Options>Applications or Options>Device>Application Management, depending on your software version) and ensure you reboot your device.

After the reboot, on your browser go to www.blackberry.com/appworld and reinstall App World. Ensure English is selected for install. Reboot after the installation completes.

After the reinstall, check the Games section to ensure it's displayed in English.

I've done what you suggested. Deleted App World, rebooted, and downloaded it again, making sure that the preferred language is English.

Now, the Themes area is in Indonesian....

I appreciate the help, but I'm starting to think that RIM somehow screwed up the App World itself. My mother's BlackBerry also has the same problem. Although her BlackBerry has Indonesian as display language, the App World is in Indonesian and English

This problem is also happening on my device after a complete OS reinstall

however, if you do a search on theme section, the resulting page will be in english again,

but still i prefer the whole appworld is in english

What device model and software version are you using?

What is your main device language set to?

Also, who is your mobile carrier?

I'm using Bold 9700 with BlackBerry 6, 6.0.0.706. Honestly speaking I'm using a custom OS from crackberry forums, so I can't say much.

My display and input language is set to English (US)

My carrier is Telkomsel, I live in Indonesia

By the way, I noticed something else

Everytime I run App World, random items change language.

That is, if I run App World twice, there can be 2 different items that change language

Example:

First, I reboot my device, to get a "clean slate", have never run App World.

Then I run App World, Games, Apps and Themes icon are in Indonesian

Then I close App World, and I run it again. This time, Games, Apps and Themes are in English.

Then I close App World, and I run it again. This time, the Apps category (not the icon for Apps as seen in Home menu) is in Indonesian, while everything else is in English.

It's a bit hard to explain. In short, everytime I run App World, random items can be in Indonesian, and may not be limited to only one item.
