App World

I think I've hidden / deleted blackberry App World off my phone.  When I try and download it from the internet it says that the version of Blackberry App World already exists, do I want to replace it so if I say yes, it downloads it and reboots the phone etc. as normal but the icon for the app world is still no where to be found on my phone.

Please can you help. I was busy searching through app world when suddenly it just disappeared. I have a touch screen so I may have hidden it or something EXCEPT I've been through all possible folders and can't find it.

Follow the below steps -

 

  • Go to Options > Device > Applications and scroll the AppWorld application and don't click on it, just scroll to it. Click Menu > Delete and remove the application.
  • Now, do a reboot: With the BlackBerry device powered ON, remove the battery a few seconds and then reinsert the battery to reboot.
  • Finally, use your BlackBerry browser to go to www.blackberry.com/appworld and download/install the AppWorld application again.
  • After installation and possibly another reboot, check your homescreen or another folder, or Downloads folder for the application.

Thanks Tanzim, but your advise has still not worked. I've tried doing as you have suggested a couple of times and it still does not bring the app world back. I can not find it anywhere and it doesn't work at all

It also happens to me, when is the solution coming up??

By the way I have a bold 9780 I´m just tired of this situation..

It appears the current workaround is to downgrade your AppWorld client to version 4.0.0.55. This can be done by visiting the following link in your browser.
