that doesnt work for me as i dont have a Desktop [IPPP} service book and i am on BIS

I get the same problem, wont connect and when I remove that file my phone says I need to upgrade my service. So no dice on that.... Curve 8320 on T-mobile

Always one to follow the crowrd....

I have the same problem! I did delete the service book, but then the whole thing stopped working, so i undeleted it. Still nothing on the BB apps.

Deleting the service book worked for me.  I'm set-up on a BES as well.

I think as long as you don't use MDS on your BES, you are free to delete the Desktop (IPPP) service book and then it works.  If you use MDS on your BES, then I don't know what your options are.

If I goto Options->Advanced Options->service Book

 

I dont see anything on mine for Desktop [IPPP] and on mine I still get the error Cannot Connect to World Server Please Verify your network connections and try again.

I don't have a Desktop [IPPP] service book to delete.

 

Also updated to the new .27 version of App World and still getting the same error message: Problem reading data from App World server. Error type: 100002

The new build (1.0.0.28) has been released! This build addresses the issues described in http://www.blackberry.com/btsc/KB17855

 

It's highly recommended that anyone experiencing any issues upgrade to this build by removing App World and installing the latest version.
