How do you follow these instructions on a Tour? I might be blind, but I don't see a button labeled "RST".

Hi and Welcome to the Forums!

1. Open App World

2. Go to My World

3a. For keyboard-based BB's -- Hold down the ALT key and then press, in sequence R, then S, then T

3a. If your BB locks after issuing the cache clear, perform a battery pull reboot

Hopefully it'll work for you! Good luck and let us know!

Re: App world download stuck/frozen

Ha! I just got this thing, so I didn't even realize commands like that were possible.

I pulled the battery and I'm waiting for it to recover from that. If the issue persists, I'll try the command.

Thanks a bunch for the quick reply!

Re: App world download stuck/frozen

Pulling the battery didn't but the ALT+R, S, T did work.

Thanks again.

I'm not too sure how to do this on my pearl. I tried hold down alt and pressing r s and t separately and at the same time but no results can someone please help.

*Nevermind I figured it out. On a pearl you hold alt then press R S and T in sequence then click the trackball for it to work.

How can I "unfreeze" blackberry app world?  How do I find alt and "RST"?

Re: App world download stuck/frozen

This problem seems so long ago to me, although I appreciate others could still use help. Since getting a Torch I have had zero tech problems. None whatsoever.

Re: App world download stuck/frozen

Hi, I'm having almost the same issue, except I cant do anything after clicking on "Blackberry App World". It's just frozen on the Signing Up screen. Tried holding Alt + R, S, T combo but it did nothing. Any other work around? Can the App World app be deleted and if so, how is it re-installed?

Re: App world download stuck/frozen

Try this: delete BlackBerry World by holding the icon for a few seconds and when it starts to pulsate and a small trash can appears at the base of the icon to the right, press this trash can. If you are presented with the option to uninstall or to conduct a full deletion, select complete deletion. Next, restart your device in the usual way [hold the power button until the home screen starts a countdown to shutdown. In the bottom right on the home screen will be an option to restart. Take it. ] After your handset has restarted navigate to here on your BlackBerry browser: www.blackberry.com/appworld/download
Follow the instructions to install BlackBerry World.

That *should* sort out the issue. Basically, I tend to assume this problem is caused by a corrupted directory process; getting a fresh copy of the software tends to solve such issues. Hope it helps you.

Thank you Kennywhiteberry

I'm submitting my email to get the download link but I'm getting an javascript alert with Just the word "Error". Probably blackberry server has an issue at the moment, I will give try later.

Thank you again !
