Trudyblock, this section of the forum titled "BlackBerry Playbook" is for questions about the Playbook tablet, not your 8520 Curve. You've simply posted in a thread about the Playbook, we'll get your questions and those responses moved to the appropriate area. Don't worry or be so upset, the user who made rude comments to you has been asked to refrain and those posts deleted.
To your issue with not being able to find the AppWorld icon on your device or to be able to use AppWorld in Namibia:
BlackBerry alone does not determine where AppWorld is available. Your local country's mobile service providers must decide and sign agreements with RIM to support AppWorld as well as local laws and regulations apply. In most cases, simply those BlackBerry service providers in Namibia must agree. In your case, they obviously have not. AppWorld is in over 100 countries and you might want to help persuade the providers in Namibia to include AppWorld.
Here is a link to those countries supported: http://www.blackberry.com/app_includes/devicesoftw
