i downloaded the app world but i'm not able to see it in my Bold 9780. if i download it again it says replace the version but i am not able to see the location of app world. its not hidden.

I'm having the same problem as abmayur, eversince i tried upgrading app world it disappeared on the device. Everytime I try to redownload it asks if replace version and I do but still I can't find it on the phone once it has been downloaded again, this is really frustrating please help.

Try removing it in safe mode:

Battery pull, insert battery and when the red light goes off, hold down the back key through the entire boot process.  It will give you a message about safe mode.    
remove app world and do another battery pull.

Next try to install it using my steps in the previous post.

If it still doesn't work, all I can suggest is a software reload or take it to the store and have them try to install app world.
