Cookie, if you have backed up your BBM contacts either remotely or to your media card you will be able to restore them.

Hi everyone! I wanna upgrade my BBM but I'm afraid that it will disappear.can you please tell me if there is a possibility that I will lost all the contacts and the icon will be lost? My phone details are:

When I follow the instructions on the link provided above it says "Sorry, your device does not meet the system requirements that are needed to support BlackBerry Messenger."

With my Torch, I had to go to Options > Device > Application Management to delete the BBM. The rest worked perfectly. Great help - even Sprint didn't know this!

Finally solved, thank you.

I have the Torch 9860 and could not find the Options - Advanced - Applications folder you mentioned. I went straight to the link and downloaded BBM. It asked if I wished to "replace", I said yes and then it asked to reboot and I did. Contacts etc seem intact but I seemed to have lost BBM voice. At leat I have BBM back after almost 48 hours. Thank you. Most other suggestions were not "doable" on my device.

I don't understand why you would have lost the BBM Voice...  unless for some reason it downloaded an older version of BBM?
