I have brand new BB 8900 ,still can't install app world ,
i tryd evrything update the device ,downgrade the device ,can't install from the phone and also from computer
Any suggestion ?

I just joined this forum so hope im posting in the right place.
Im basically hitting walls trying to use my blackberry application world download. The error message im recieving (as descibed on another lunk ont this forum) is that im not set up for browsing and should contact my service provider. Ive done this and they say there are no restrictions and that i am set up for unlimited browsing and they cant help.
Im stuck as have tried re installing, taking battery out and now dont know what to do as i cant seem to find any answer on the troubleshooting guides anywhere
Can anyone help please?

Hi I just bought a blackberry curve 8250 and Im trying to set it up the word, excel, and powerpoint application. I tried to register but when I did it told there was a porblem with internet connection which I found weird and mentioned something about VPN...what is that?
Then I closed it as it didnt let me do it, and now when I go back to it trying to register again it doesnt let me do it, a folder saying open file shows. but when I open an email to see if I can open the files on those extensions it wont show it to me as a file (?)..so I dont know what to do..
Is it because i didnt register? then how do I go about trying to get the registration page again as it is know showing it to me anymore?
please help me because as any new user Im very lost, and I m afraid that I could´ve lost the chance to register to those programs because I closed it for those VPN issues or whatever it meant with the connection etc. ...

About the "Unable to open App World (Upgrade service plan error)", I followed the link and discovered this was the same fix as Vodafone Blackberry support in the Netherlands has tried to fix my problem, did not work however.
To rule out any causes of problems, I would like comment on the following;
I have three selectable drop down boxes in the options/advanced/browser menu:
Default configuration of browser (selected Internet Browser)
Default configuration of MDS Browser (selected Internet Browser)
Default configuration of WAP Browser (can select either of Services and Vodafone live! WAP 2.0)
Can anyone tell me what these different default browsers represent??

I'm having the same proglem, purchasing an application, but application world not recognizing the purchase. But the message I get is "purchase not found". However, Paypal confirms the purchase. Help please.
