By "state", I mean "installed", "archived", "deleted" or some other nomenclature that MyWorld will show for the app...

Ah..."deleted" means exactly that. AppWorld is maintaining, for your convenience, a record of the fact that you once had that app and have since deleted it.

So even if it would be "archived" or "deleted" there is absolutely no way of removing the apps from the My World menu?

you can, but only for free applications.
to do that you have to uninstall AppWorld and reinstall it.

Has your problemen been resolved ?? If so can you share it with me.?
I have the same problem with my BB bold 9000. I have device version 4.6, unlimited data plan and of couse the trackball. It cannot be an issue with my provider because i succesfully downloaded it to my BB Storm 9500. Still i cannot download the BB Application world to my BB 9000. Does anyone have any suggestions? I would really appreciate the help.
