Re: BlackBerry App World additional support

Hi

I am having a problem with my blackberry app world. I cancelled it whilst it was updating and closed the page instead of minimising. I have tried download it by the browser it does download its just not showing on my home page. It is showing under my application management that it exists but hasnot been used. Wanted to find out how I can fix this problem so it shows on my home page

Re: BlackBerry App World additional support

Some users have had success with this fix:

  1. Go to Options > Advanced > Applications and scroll the AppWorld application and don't click on it, just scroll to it. Click Menu > Delete and remove the application.
  2. Now, do a reboot: With the BlackBerry device powered ON, remove the battery a few seconds and then reinsert the battery to reboot.
  3. Finally, use your BlackBerry browser to go to www.blackberry.com/appworld and download/install the AppWorld application again.
  4. After installation and possibly another reboot, check your homescreen or another folder, or Downloads folder for the application.

Re: BlackBerry App World additional support

The current workaround appears to be to downgrade your AppWorld client to version 4.0.0.55. This can be done by visiting the following link in your browser

Re: BlackBerry App World additional support

I finally fixed my problem. I upgraded the BB Device Software to the latest level available for OS6 and everything is fine now. The icon is shown and the application is working.
