Hi any one please help. I upgraded Blackberry App World version 4.0.0.63. And now ICON is not there on Home Screen. Applictions Folder Shows bb app world not runnig. My torch 9800 has OS6 Bundle 695

I have the same problem since 2 days. I updated a second time, turn off the bb and removed the battery....still no Apps icon !?

Just found the solution and thsi is working.....

BlackBerry App World was updated to 4.0.0.63 on a BlackBerry 6 smartphone with older BlackBerry Device Software.

On BlackBerry OS versions prior to 6.0.0.706 and the AppWorld Icon is not visible, please download and install the BlackBerry AppWorld 4.0.0.55.

1. Open the BlackBerry Browser on the BlackBerry smartphone.
2. Browse to http://mobileapps.blackberry.com/devicesoftware/entry.do?code=appworld3
3. After download, please restart your BlackBerry smartphone when prompted.
4. Verify that BlackBerry App World is located on the home screen.

This update fixed the issue I was having with 4.0.0.63 where I was getting an error on restart "uncaught exception no application instance".

Captain, BlackBerry hasn't been silent on this issue. They've posted a knowledge base article with solutions over two weeks ago.
