Unfortunately I, like many others, also had the same problem with 220.127.116.11. Therefore downgrading to 18.104.22.168 creates exactly the same problem. I have tried all permutations, (whilst on 22.214.171.124 and also on .63) and still not luck. I did find a thread that even provided a link to a version 3.xxxxx app world and that still did not work.
Os. 126.96.36.1998 (up to date)
Enterprise server (i think that is what it is called) has been enabled for work emails so full reinstall etc is not as easy.

In this link, I'd recommend going directly to Resolution #4:

I tried downloading v188.8.131.52 via the link JSanders provided, but I was unsuccessful. When trying to replace v184.108.40.206 with v220.127.116.11 it says "Download failed" and when I click on Details it says "909 Application authentication failure". Is there a way to fix this?

I am using a Torch 9800
6.0 Bundle (v18.104.22.1686, Platform 6.6.0241)
I have tried the workaraound installing .55, but I still have no AppWorld icon, and I am now getting an error message when I reboot:
Uncaught exception java.lang error

I've still got the problem after downgrading to app world 22.214.171.124 -- no icon, although it shows in application management list.
I've carefully gone through all the posts in this thread
I'm on OS 6.0 Bundle 1879 (v 126.96.36.1998)
Blackberry Bold 9780 - T-Mobile
I've done both soft and hard resets after loading the application
Any additional guidance would be greatly appreciated
