So far we have no solution to this. You can browse the different methods on this page but unfortunately I couldn't fix it so I downgraded app world, sorry.

Hi guys, the application world on my 8520 does not give me an option 2 create id, but I created the id through the website but no option for logging in, in the application world and when I try downloading, its says id upgrade needed,and when I try installing it gives me the same error code. Please help am dying of frustration.

We currently don't have a work around for this error message. I also carry a 8520 curve and I couldn't fix it with all the various methods posted here so I'm currently using an older version of app world until RIM has a solution. In future, never upgrade app world (or any other add on) without checking the reviews first. Sorry
