None of this stuff is working for me and I have the same problem as when I go on blackberry app world  it comes up ' blackberry identity update needed , would u like to install ? And I click yes and it loads and then say blackberry's identity installation failed , please try again later xx

 

 

I have now deleted blackberry appeared and don't know how to get it back xx could u please help jsanders

Hello!


Here are some KBs that might apply:

  • KB29613 The error "BlackBerry Identity installation failed. Please try again later. (80003)" is displayed within BlackBerry App World
  • KB29501 "Error installing BlackBerry Identity, please try again later" when trying to install an update for BlackBerry Identity in BlackBerry App World.
  • KB29300 "A BlackBerry Identity update is needed" message appears when launching BlackBerry App World 3.1

Hopefully they contain something useful! There also are multiple existing threads on this site that discuss that exact error...your review of those might prove useful, and a search of this site, using the error message, error code, or symptom, should reveal all applicable existing threads to you.

I have a bb curve 8520,it keeps telling me to update my blackberry identity,and then when I do it it gets stuck for days,showing that it is loading.I have changed the APN settings to internet and I have downloaded the latest version of app world but still no success.I am an MTN contract customer and I don't know if I am allowed to change to WIFI instead of EDGE.Please Help!!

There are more things in this thread than you have reported as attempting. Therefore, please scroll up, read, and try the various things listed to see if they apply to your situation. Then, if they don't work, report back on exactly what you tried, exactly what you expected from each step of what you tried, and exactly what happened at each step. Include all error messages, complete and exact, with all punctuation as well.

I'm not sure as to what to try next as I have downloaded the latest version of app world and it asked again for blackberry identity and it still shows it is loading with the green circle icon staying the same,it doesn't give any error messages as it keeps loading,I have bb protect and I backed up my phone this afternoon,is there any way past this?When I changed the IP/TCP settings for the APN to internet as on the other threads nothing happened...

Again, up in this thread (example...post 12), there are several things to try...please read those linked articles to see if they apply. You are saying the same thing now that you already said, which tells me that you have yet to scroll up, read and try what is already in this thread. Please do so...otherwise, you are asking me to re-do, special for you, work that has already been done by the kind volunteers on this site. Please scroll up, read, and try...I am 90% certain that your answer is already up there...all you need to is read it...

Hello,

 

I've just updated my BlackBerry using the BlackBerry desktop software and now I have a problem with the BlackBerry ID. Everytime I open app world it says that "App World requires the latest version of BlackBerry ID.". When I click "upgrade" I get this message "Sorry, there is no compatible version of BlackBerry ID available at this time.".

I've tried every possible solution. Folowing the KB29300 I successfully managed to update BlackBerry Identity, but after rebooting the phone I was asked to update BlackBerry ID once again and I got the same "no compatible version" message. I don't know what else to do.

 

I have a BB Bold 9780

6.0 Bundle 2949 (v6.0.0.668, Platform 6.6.0.236)

The version of the App World is 4.0.0.55

The version of BlackBerry Identity is 6.3.0.14
