Re: Error Id: 9300 unable to purchase on app world on my BB Torch 9800

I have been reading with interest. That more and more people with BBs are realizing problems with purchasing thru AppWorld. Like many others before me, and believe me, I don't give up easily. I have tried doing everything short of strangling the BBphone. Nothing worked.

Also with respect to the suggested solution above this was what I found out 2 months ago.I could not purchase anything from AppWorld in my country as usual.

Without changing any settings or parameters with PayPal nor my Credit Card, the moment I landed in Singapore in a hotel, I quickly switched on both my BB phone and Playbook and I could buy as many apps as I wanted from BB appworld. Even with the hotel Wifi.

So as long as your PayPal Primary Paying account is in US Dollars, just change your site of buying ie your country to another accepted country, it works. In this case Singapore.

Hi Maestrocsf, change country in which site? What's make me wonder was previously I have no problem to purchase the apps, it was about a few month ago. Now I have this error. I don think this is the paypal issue. It is something else. I'm still trying. Thanks.

Re: Error Id: 9300 unable to purchase on app world on my BB Torch 9800

Azizi. it may or may not be payPal issue.I set my PayPal to have primary payment mode using US Dollars with a PayPal account money deposited inside. I cannot use that account in Malaysia but can be used in Singapore to pay for AppWorld.

You can say the problem is with the country Malaysia because Malaysia does not recognize PayPal in relation to BlackBerry. Or you can say PayPal does not recognize Malaysia in relation to BlackBerry. I. Cannot tell which is which.

But I do know that without changing my present PayPal and Credit Card settings, using PayPal and my Credit Card I can pay for everything both in Malaysia and Singapore for international purchases.

As long as it has nothing to do with BB appWorld .

Re: Error Id: 9300 unable to purchase on app world on my BB Torch 9800

So when I was in Singapore that time I took the opportunity to buy what I wanted and what I believe I will use in the near future.

Re: Error Id: 9300 unable to purchase on app world on my BB Torch 9800

Hi All,

My frustration reached the limit some 3 weeks ago.

I switched to Android and closed my BIS service.

Extremely happy with Android, using Samsung Galaxy S2 -works, everything works!

Only need one username and password - appworld known as Market on Android - millions of Apps, majority free.

So simple, click via laptop on the app you like, it checks out compatibility with your phone, click install and it installs over the air. Later, when you grab phone, all you installed is there, or you can access market via phone, equally straight forward.

Since moving to Android, I can tell you one thing, will never come back to BlackBerry.

There's life after RIM, abundant life!

Regards, Antonie

Re: Error Id: 9300 unable to purchase on app world on my BB Torch 9800

Frm the kb it says that paypal in Msia when u want to purchase frm appworld should put in Dollar.. So I think what Maestrocsf mentioned earlier abt “You can say the problem is with the country Malaysia because Malaysia does not recognize PayPal in relation to BlackBerry. Or you can say PayPal does not recognize Malaysia in relation to BlackBerry. I. Cannot tell which is which.” Might be true..

But I just wonder why before I was able to purchase using paypal..

Re: Error Id: 9300 unable to purchase on app world on my BB Torch 9800

Don't worry both azizi and sad25in. Since even RIM genuinely cannot solve this problem posted them, I doubt any of us mortals can.

In fact I strongly believe RIM actually wants us to help them solve this problem, a kind of a challenge, like RIM against the rest of the world to arrive at the solution.

Keep your grey cells active, continue the challenge, don't give up and sing to the tune by Queen, Freddie Mercury's Innuendo "...Oh yes, we'll keep on trying, We'll tread that fine line,... Till the end of time."
