Hey all-
I purchases a few applications but after playing around with them, they just aren't what i'm looking for (they were personal finance apps).. I would like to get a refund on the app (its already deleted from the handheld) but when I email the vendor they say since I bought it from App World that I need to go through RIM.. Can anyone help lead me in the right direction on where to go? Thanks!

Please read the FAQs for the App World (located here: http://na.blackberry.com/eng/developers/appworld/f
From the Support section in the FAQs (section 9), you can get refunds only in very specific situations:
Can customers request a refund after they purchase an application?
BlackBerry App World generally does not offer refunds to consumers. However, for those jurisdictions where the RIM merchant of record is obliged to provide a refund, the refund may be processed by RIM.

This is just ONE MORE reason I cannot wait for my contract to be up so I can DUMP this stupid blackberry and it's software! You have no idea how an app will work on your phone until it's downloaded - then you are STUCK.
Ispeech and drivesafely are rip-offs!

Hi. Ignoring the official AppWorld policy, I contacted Blackberry Technical Support directly on two occasions - after purchasing bad apps and no replies from vendor support. In both cases they issued a prompt refund in full.
Here's the contact form: https://www.blackberry.com/technicalsupport/index.
