lol, I have no idea what you've "obviously" done. I'd be neglectful if I didn't over the suggestion.
The solution above has worked for some, not for others.

Have you actually read these instructions? I mean, they are crappy. In particular the cause 2 topic. It says go to step 1 while you are at step 1. And it says, if it doesn't work, see resolution for cause 2, this is actually cause 2 resolution.
Are BlackBerry guys actually read what they write? Do they really try what they publish as the resolution steps?
This problem is already irritating, no need to add crappy resolution instructions on top of that. And BTW, nothing works in the KB article for me.

Yea, I don't particularly like that KB article either. It's all well known fixes, and the last #4 is sorta like "no clue".

In frustration I contacted my service provider and, strangely, after following the exact same steps I have already tried several times, whilst on the phone to an agent, everything went miraculously back to normal. My advice? Try calling your provider and just try it that way.

I am using Blackberry BOLD 9780.
I have followed and downloaded the lower version too. But the icon is still missing from Home. Many of the applications are missing from the mobile.
If I connect it to desktop & log in to the app webstore, it tells me unsupported operating system. Kindly help.
