No apps after set up

Hey all!

Hope you are able to help me.

Yesterday I set my phone up because appworld doesn't operate succesfull  .

But after data backup and reinstalltation of the same, the apps were gone.

Also the method with reinstalling them via My world doesn't work out.

So is there any other possibility to get my already paid apps again?

Do you know any email address for support?

Thx a lot!

Nice greetings from Austria

Conny

Re: No apps after set up

Hi Conny, Greetings, and welcome to the BlackBerry.com Community Support Forums.

What do you mean you "set my phone up"?

If you open AppWorld > MyWord > click on the upper tab to get the UNINSTALLED list of apps.

Do you see your Apps there?

If not,
1. Open App World
2. Go to My World
3. For keyboard-based BB's -- Hold down the ALT key and press "RST"
4. If your BB locks after issuing the cache clear, perform a battery pull reboot

Now, go back your MyWorld > Uninstalled... do you see  your list of apps now?

Re: No apps after set up

Hey! Thanks for your fast answer.
With set up I mean, that I deleted everything on my phone and put the backup back on.
I already tried the advise you gave above but it didn't work out.
Best Conny

Re: No apps after set up

Ok, at Options > Device > BlackBerryID, enter your username and password there.

On your Manage Connections screen, click on the Services Status.
What is the status of the BlackBerry Internet Service?

Re: No apps after set up

Sorry that it lastet so long, had another few probs

The status of the BlackBerry Internet Service is mobile phone provider.

Yesterday I was already at my provider shop and asked the guys there for help. They told me they can't do anything regarding apps, I have to ask RIM.

Do that ^.

In regard to your phone shop (Tmobile) telling you can't do anything about apps,... they can't -- about apps in general.

BUT they can about AppWorld, as your mobile provider provides support for AppWorld. So CALL Tmobile, don't go by a store, call their technical support line. You can ask them to escalate this issue up to RIM's Tier Two level tech support.

Re: No apps after set up

Same problem here, missing almost 40 programs most are paid apps and the third party producers don't give a hoot about order confirmations or receipts. Lost just about enough money on this to buy a nice handset for a different os and similar apps to keep my mobile side of my system working with my desktop. App World support seems non-existant at this point and I've been using BB since 2007.

teagan, quite frankly, that's a crock.

Your AppWorld support is provided through your mobile provider. You need to call them. Any issue they can't resolve, they will (and you should ask) escalate the issue to RIM level tech support, for free.
