I've just updated AppWorld from 1.1.0.33 to 1.1.0.35 few minutes ago. After rebooting, the AppWorld icon disappeared from my homescreen. I've enabled "Show All" and searched every folder on my BB but still unable to find the icon. Under applications, it is shown that AppWorld is installed. Any help on this issue?

Same exact problem here. BB Tour 9630 Verizon 5.0.0.591. App World notified me there was an update for App World, I was running the x.33 version the upgrade was x.35. As soon as I installed it - no icon. Installed it again from appworld.blackberry.com - no icon. It shows in the list of installed apps, it's not in any folder, and it's not hidden.
There's a bug somewhere. Anyone reading this thread might want to consider avoiding x.35 update until you see someone posting a fix.

Yes, I am rebooting my device. Here's an interesting note. When this happened, a bright red icon for Vcast videos appeared on my home screen. It was a "virtual preload" from Verizon. It wasn't there before.
The process was this. App World notified me of the update. Downloaded and installed it. Device asked for and did a soft reboot. Vcast video icon appears, App World icon is gone.
Battery pull. No good. Checked every folder. Nope! Okay, back to the browser and appworld.blackberry.com. Download page tells me the x.35 version is installed, do I want to overwrite it with x.35? Okay, go ahead. Download completes, device asks to soft reset, and I do. No change, no icon.
Open the Applications Center, it shows x.33 still with a "downgrade" link. I click that and it takes me to the x.35 page. So THAT'S not going to work. Open Options, go to Applications. App World shows up. Delete it. Device asks to reboot, go ahead.
Install App World AGAIN from appworld.blackberry.com. Downloads, installs, doesn't need to reboot this time because I had uninstalled. But, same thing. No icon, anywhere. Did a LOOOOONG battery pull (let it sit for 10 minutes). No better.
I even ran the Vcast video virtual preload to see if THAT would make App World reappear. Nope! Just wants me to pay Verizon another $10 a month to watch their videos. No thanks.
