I'm re-posting my request for the details you need to include...please include everything in this list.

Given the millions of BB users, I hardly think that such drastic action is yet warranted. The volume of error, as represented in this thread, is hardly the level that would warrant any firings IMHO. If you want perfection every time, you are looking at the wrong things -- and by "wrong things", I mean any kind of technology whatsoever. Only in nature can you perhaps find perfection. Technology is designed and built by humans...perfection is, quite simply, unattainable.

As an application developer for 30 years, I think I know the difference between perfection and poor quality control. Hopefully this issue is being worked even on a 'weekend' heaven forbid.

Have removed and reinstalled BB world.
BBworld does show on application list.
I have thoroughly searched all folders including show all.
Still no icon...

I`ve a BB Bold 9000, in Portugal. When i updated BB App World 1.1.0.33 to BB App World
1.1.0.35 the icon... Bla, bla... I tried the procedure described above but... Still the same problem! I`ve searched everywhere for the icon!
In the app folder of the phone, and about BB App World, it appears as status "desactualizar" (in Portuguese means the contrary of update, downgrading?)", 1.1.0.35 as installed
version and 1.1.0.33 as new version!!!

Running

Icon gone, app still installed (in Add-on app list)
tried delete, install, pull
pull delete, pull, install
Install replace pull
etc etc reboot restart download re-download etc etc
tried show all - searched every folder
Stumped
icon is just gone

Sure glad I don't need any new apps. My icon too is gone after upgrading app world.
I wonder, is this a feature or a bug, lol.

on another note there is apps i wish to download, and cannot due to this bug in the new update, would like to be able to download the old version or have a fix for this version asap

I owned BB since 2006. I went through 4 different models and never encounter a problem like this! Judging by the outpour cries of help, (in this forum and other forum) this is one serious bug! It proves that this app is popular. also money lost for many when this app is not working! hopefully RIM learn from this and be more thoroughly test their app b4 push everybody in the world to upgrade!!!
